We will run through what equipment you need and where you can buy it, the step by step process, following alongside the video we created with a HiKOKI service engineer and any frequently asked questions at the bottom. Equipment You will need: A compressor – we recommend the HiKOKI cordless inflator (you will need an account to see this product). The kit sold at Multifix comes with the re-gassing adaptor – options elsewhere won’t include the adaptor. If you already have a cordless inflator, you can buy the re-gasing tool online at Multifix. A 6mm hex key Pliers (small long nosed or circlip work best) 2 batteries; 1 for the nail gun and 1 for the cordless compressor Put the nail gun into maintenance mode by turning the gun on and hold the on/off button and the nail count button for 3 seconds. The blue light will flash, and the green light should remain lit. To extract the striker blade, hold down the magazine feeder, push the nose on the edge of a workbench, fire the gun a few times until you can see the blade in the nose. See video clip here to see this being done. Remove the battery. Using your pliers, remove the black cap and unscrew the valve bolt using the hex key supplied with the gun. Screw the re-gassing adaptor into the gun and then attach the inflator hose onto the adaptor. Set the machine bar to 9.1 and press start. The inflator will stop once 9.1 bar of pressure has been reached; when it stops inflating, disconnect the inflator and unscrew the re-gassing adaptor from the gun. Screw on the valve bolt and cap back into place. Replace the battery, turn the nail gun on and repeat step 2 to retract the striker blade. The nailer will switch out of maintenance mode and is now ready to use. If you have any issues, feel free to contact us on phone or email for help. FAQs What is re-gassing?
